I am new to this site, but have found the responses to be so well worded. Here goes my dilema:

I have taken out a few, what I always considered "Internet Pay-Day Loan" but have to find out some of these are considered "Lines of Credit" instead.

I have paid most of them off directly- but in November, I had a Collection Agency for one I defaulted on scare me that if I did not make an immediate payment, that I would be placed under arrest for fraud. Yes, I defaulted on the loan. My bank account closed my account NOT ME. But, they scared me straight into making arrangements and I took care of it. With money that I definatley did not have.
Well it is done, but now...

Now it is the end of January and I have a company called "Frontier Financial" chasing after me for a debt with one of these Online Lenders/Line of Credit/PDL companies. - They are all predatory lenders, truthfully.

I have asked them to send me a "Proof of Debt" letter, and a woman agreed to send me an email. After that she told me the call was recorded and started asking me more questions. Investigative questions.

I told her after I recieved the email, then I would be willing to call her back.

She pressed me with a few other questions, to which I told her, upon reciept of the email verifying the debt, then I would call her back.

She said I would have it within 24 hours and wants me to call her back BY TOMORROW MORNING!

What do I do? I was planning on paying the debt with the original Lender with my tax money, via Western Union.

Great Plains are not legal in US. So, you'll only have to pay back the principal amount. Nothing else. You can't be arrested for fraud also. How much have you paid back till date? Don't get scared by their empty threats.

You got scammed by the very first CA that contacted you and took your money. Do not walk that path again. Frontier Financial is a bottom feeder. When the lady calls tomorrow, ask her for their physical address and send them a C&D letter in writing via CMRRR. If she refuses to divulge the address, hang up the phone and ignore further calls. File complaints with the FTC, the AG and the county cops.
