I have a debt that was sent to J.J. MacIntyre Co., Inc., located in Corona, CA. Anyone ever had a +/- experience w/this company? My debt is only a couple of hundred bucks, which I have set aside, ready to go. My only concern is that after I send them payment in full, it might resurface later, which I have read sometimes happens w/other CAs. Is there a way I can insure that it won't be sold to another CA or sent back to the original creditor (The city & County of SF, CA) even after I pay the debt in Full to J.J. Mac.? Thanks for any input in advance!

hi guest

Did you send them a validation letter? In my opinion you should do that first. Without getting a debt validation from them DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT AND PLEASE DO NOT send them a dime!

You can also contact your original creditor and verify whether they have really sold the debt or not.

I hope it was useful....n please keep us posted

Wow goodnelly, great response. :)

Yeah, OP you mustn't send them any money without verifying the facts form them. You have heard right, the loan can resurface in the future form the original creditor as well.

Even if you decide to settle the loan with them, don't provide them with your bank account details and try to send the money through money order. So that you can keep the receipt for any future references.

Take care!!
