i just checked my credit and gc services has been reporting against my credit every month for awhile now. i didn't know. they never even contacted me once. what do i do? i don't want them to have my address or phone number if they don't already. but i want to find out what the debt is.

Simple! Just send them a Debt Validation Letter asking them to validate the debt that they claim to have against you. If they can do so, then you have to pay them. If they cannot validate the same or if they do not reply which is most likely to happen, then you are under no obligation to pay them anything. Also you can ask the bureaus to remove the same from your credit report (Under FCRA).
