WE have sent you several notices that your account is past due....we have numerous programs we would like to discuss with you, to take advantage of these programs vall us by Jan 31/2009. Failure to immediately pay will result in our taking appropriate to collect the amount you owe.
3 months ago I got the letter from ENCORE stated that they owned this account, are they the same collector?
I signed up debt settlement Program to Care One Credit, they already settled 1 account since I joined Oct, so my question are:
1: What should I do next? Call GE Money telling them I have Care One taking care of ?
2: What is the next action GE money can do : sue me and garnish my wage?
They called me at home, to my cell, no threatened but keep calling, they are the only one of my creditors seems never give up. I owe them 3K. I am so worried. I don't want to go to court.
Please advice, Thanks everybody.

I had a CareCredit account I got behind on and I signed up for their hardship program. They lowered my payment and my interest. After about 3-4 payments, they brought my account current.
They also had sent it to Encore which, if memory serves me, is GE Money's in-house collection department. I would call both Encore and CareCredit and explain to them that you signed up with CareOne, maybe give them a phone number to call. I would then call CareOne and get them to contact CareCredit and Encore too.
Is this the CareOne debt consolidation program? Good luck with them. I was in that program and they just took my money and distributed it. If they sent proprosals, they never followed up on them. They left me to contact the creditors if there were any problems. Since I was doing all the legwork so to speak, I quit them and saved the monthly fee.
