Assett Acceptance

Wow! I guess I am not the only one who is getting harassed by asset acceptance and Bally's. I was a member of Bally's in the late 1980's in 1990 I moved to a city that did not have a Bally fitness center - which was one of the clauses for dissolving your contract. I went through all of the proper procedures of filling out paperwork before I moved and provided proof of my new address after I relocated. I thought everything was taken care of at this point. Over the past 21 years I have had several loans for homes and cars - not one time has this ever shown up on my credit reports. I have excellent credit so I was very surprised to find I "supposedly" defaulted on a debt. I am still in shock that 21 years later I am just now finding out about this!!!!!

Thank you for all of the information posted on this site it has been very informative and helpful. I am using the sample letters as a go by to ask them to "cease and desist". Hopefully this will be the end of it but I am not going to hold my breath.
