My debt collection history

I was a debt collector and a manager for an ageny. My field was mostly credit cards. I did this for slightly over 2 years. The company I worked for did have problem collectors (what agency doesn't?), but over all had a pretty good bunch. I wasn't the best collector but I did well for myself and family. I am in no way ashamed nor do I feel bad about my job and if I wasn't now a student I would likely still be there.
My intentions here are pretty straightforward. I am here to pass
My intentions here are pretty straightforward. I am here to pass on what I know and attempt to help others. I do think that all debts should be resolved by one means or another, no matter the age. I believe that collection agencies and agents who knowingly and intentionally break the law should be reported and prosecuted. I will endevor to learn from those around me and attempt to help out the best I can.

You answered many of my post when I was still posting as a guest. I think it's great that you're on here and you are so willing to share your experience. You helped me in many ways to resolve my debts.

Considering that of the over 6000 collection agencies in the US, we're only dealing with about a half of a percent. 99.5% of the issues created by.05%. Unfortunately, a few bad bottomfeeders spoil the whole bunch

Yeah me too. I appreciate anyone at all who has honest and correct answers. Sometimes some people don't like to hear the right answer. You have always been honest and upfront, and that is Honorable. I bow to you.

Honestly I don't think you should should have to post up your reasons. I noticed you sometimes get attacked just because you used to be a collector. I am one of the loudest when complaining about unethical and bad collectors, but the key factor in that is BAD COLLECTORS. I have mentioned before that I have delt with honest and fair collectors.
You shouldn't have to justify yourself. You help people here period. End of story.

I agree-it is a shame when we have to justify why we are here to help someone! Fyi has taken alot of nonsense from others over this. As long as I have been on the boards, you have been extremely helpful to others, including myself.
There are bad collectors like there are bad Doctors, attorneys, hospitals, etc--doesn't make them all bad!
