I was contacted by a gentleman stating that he was from the law office of Hersey Kemp and that I owed on a payday loan from back in 2004 and that the loan was for 1278.15 but they would offer me a settlement of 740.28 and that it had to be paid by the end ot the month.

well first never just admot to,or pay a dedbt to a voice on the phone.next state you won't talk to them again without something in writing.a question.what state are you in?the reason i ask this is because in some states pdl's are totally prohibited and this "law office"which sounds like a bottomfeeder is trying to extort money.no legit law firm would press someone like that and would send a letter of collection.again state you will not talk to them again without something in writing.i'll see what i can come up with on this supposed "law office".

okay this is your typical buffalo chip bottomfeeder collector.take the intiative and file a police report as this person broke the law.second use the name of the place and phone number to file AG,AND FTC complaints.do not talk to them further as they never send anything and are the typical buffalo bottomfeeder that needs to use illegal threats to get money.file the complaints,and report then ignore them as they can't do a thing they threaten.above all else do not pay them.
