Two Bills

I got two bills. One is from the hospital and the other is from the collection agency. The bills both arrived on same day. Collection agency calls me and leaves messages. They report to all credit bureaus. The hospital calls me and leaves messages too.
That's illegal. Right?

Since you owe to the hospital they would report it to the credit bureaus and the account has also been turned to the collection agency, hence they would report it too. It's legal. But it's important to find out who owns the account now.
IMO you must ask the collection agency to validate the debt. There are sample letters available in this site.
