I have about 18 different accounts to settle and before I was going to pay anyone I approched one at the time to see how they are going to respond to settlement offer, I got most of them "on board" besides HSBC Beneficial (I'll deal with this one on individual basis later) so now I started paying them off, one CA who works on behalf of amex holds 4 of our cards I paid 3 of them but will not be able to pay 4th one on time agreed per settlement offer so I talked with them about re-doing their offer with new due date sometime in mid April so I can gather funds and pay, initially they response was positive but then they call me and said they receive note from amex that my accounts has been for long time (3 months) in their (CA) hands and now they need to go back to amex by end of the month. Also rep from CA said once amex get my unpaid account back they are going to file law suite against me. My response was I cannot do magic and as I aid I will have not enough funds to pay you for 4th card within this time frame which is true otherwise I would pay right away as it is for 20%
it scared me a little bit as this is last thing I need so I called AMEX directly explaining who I work with and what they told me, very nice person from amex said she does not know anything about that these cards are going back to AMEX and even if they do then they will be assigned to another external CA, but she did not see anything noted on the account so there are 2 possibilities either CA is trying to push me and pay right away, which again does not matter how scared I'm as this fact does not produce any more money in my checking account or option 2 is they real have to return it to amex and as they loose control they will not get their share from my settlement, any comments on this? accounts are pass due 90-120 days... law suite, isn't too quick? I did not tell tehm I'm refusing to pay or some how resolve this issue I aso did not denied this debts, in fact I wasn't even trying validate as I know these are mine

Relax!
A law suit is not the end of the world, and before it got to court, you would probably settle the matter anyway.
I do hope that you have all of the repayment agreements in writing, and that you negotiated to have the accounts removed from your credit report as a condition of payment.
If the collection agency loses the account back to Amex, they can't do anything to you; only Amex has that power.?? Don't let them pressure you into doing the impossible.?? If they lose the account, then it is not your problem.?? Just deal with the next collection agency.
If all of this has you overwhelmed, get help.?? Solicitation removed per TOS - ND works with consumers nationwide to help them with all of their credit, legal, and tax issues.?? They can help you as well, if you like.

If the 4th Credit card debt goes back to AMEX, you can come to a settlement agreement with AMEX and pay off the debt.
If you try to settle off the debt, the credit card company generally co-operates with you because they are getting at least a portion of their money back. Now if they sue you and bring judgment against you, and you file bankruptcy, then they may not get back anything.

question for randall parker what do you mean by "you negotiated to have the accounts removed from your credit report as a condition of payment" what exactly should I expect? Yes I have settlement agreements in writingand I was told that after accounts are settled OC will update my credit report with "settled in full" is this best I can expect?

No. This is not the best you should expect. It may well be the best that they will offer to you, as a consumer, however.

If I had been negotiating the deal on your behalf, the deletion would be part of the agreement. If you already have an agreement, but did not stipulate that the trade line be removed, then you made a serious mistake.

Don't feel too bad about it. This is what keeps the professionals in business. You can try to go back to the table and push for deletion, but they will probably tell you to pound sand at this point.

You should go ahead and keep the arrangement you negotiated, but then get a professional to help you get the trade line removed later. Good luck.
