has anyone dealt with this company before? They claim they now own the debt I had with Bank Of America and of course the amount is now 30,477 not the the 26,000 that BOA charged off.
My questions are: Should i send a validation letter?

Did they contact you by mail yet? When they do you have 30 days to respond, jump on them first and send them the validation letter before that happens. There is a good template in the DIY section of this forum. You can ask for proof that they own the debt but I doubt they will send it.

I believe this is the 2nd collection agency on the case, they sent a letter and wanted it to look like it was from a law office, but on the bottom they stated it was to collect a debt and i have 30 days to dispute.
