Letter from Hunt & Henriques

Hi,
I received a letter from Hunt & Henriques in San Jose and based on this e-mail thread, it appears they are a collections agency. We defaulted on our house and have no money to pay, so I am not sure why were are getting this letter. The tone of the letter is very threatening as they are "demanding a full payment of $46K" and are stating that if we don't pay, they will move forward with legal proceeding. It states that Citibank engaged them on this matter.
Are these people for real? Will they really move to legal proceedings?
Any feedback and advise would be greatly appreciated.
