Email from I-Collect

After following up with my payday loan companies, I finally found that the calls I had been getting were initiated by I-Collect. They then turn the accounts over to Bass and Associates to collect for them. After I talked to the payday company and they realized it was a mistake, they said they would contact I-Collect. About an hour later I received an email from I-Collect saying all collection attempts would stop. Have any of you received one of these emails and did they, in fact, stop? I am trying to decide if I should still send a cease and desist letter to them even though I have received this email. Than ks.

Or you could just wait and see if the collection attempts do stop. If they don't then you could send the cease and desist, plus reference in there that their email said that all collection attempts would stop.
Be sure that you save a copy of their email!
