I live in VA and took out a payday loan almost 3 years ago. Today my father in law got a phone call from a collection/lig. agency. When I called back they wanted to work out a payment plan but would only do it for two months and only if i gave my bank or credit card info today. I have never paid on this loan and had actually forgot about it. The agent I spoke with said that they will pursue criminal and civil charges and possibly revoke my drivers license. I don't know what to do at this point. Any suggestions would be so appreciated.
I have tried to call the company ( Income Recovery Services INC) to get a physical address and have been unable to reach a live person. I have tried a google search of the company and found no results, the same with reverse number lookup.
When I spoke to the agent this afternoon he said they would settle it for 725 as long as i committed to it today. When I said I wasn't able to do that at this time he informed me that I'd be responsible for paying 3200.
Please if anyone can give me advice on how to resolve this I would appreciate it. I just don't want to live in fear.

Yep my sister got a call stating they were IRS incorporated and she fraked they said it was a fraudulent matter. 888-228-7519. Though I have no proble paying an old debt, from what I read here they are not too polite.
