Hello,
My husband had a judgement passed against him in 2001 for a deliquent credit card. I went to the courthouse and got a copy of the judgement after I had heard from both First National Credit Bureau and then Credigy. I set up a a two installment payment plan after they told me that they would settle for an amoutn about 2000 more then the original debt (4600). I made the first payment and have been waiting for the 2nd to be withdrawn (it was supposed to be 3/24).... anyway I called and the bureau says it is closed.. so I started to look online and ran into this information that they are shady at best. I know there was a judgement made in 2001 and I was told that it could be acted upon for 20 years (we live in MA). Did I do a really stupid thing in paying them?

Who got the judgment against you? Have you contacted them?
