Thank God for caller ID. I even have it at work so I just lowered the volume of my ring so noone else has to hear it. Most of the calls are going to my home number but I'm getting at least two a day at work. I faxed my complaint form to the AG this afternoon. I had already sent one online at the end of June and emailed him from the website the other day but I haven't heard from him. Another NY'er on here heard from them in one week so I'm hoping someone at least will make contact with me so that I know they got something. Last week I filed a complaint with the Kansas AG office against CLK Management (AKA MTE)(United Cash, One Click, ameriloan, 500Fast etc) - I received a letter today saying they forwarded my complaint to the Office of the Bank Commissioner in Kansas as they felt it was under their jurisdiction. I just hope I get help from someone soon because I'm really stressing over this and just need to know I've done the right thing and won't end up being destroyed over my decision to close my account and force closure of this hell once and for all. Will keep you updated as always.

Mperez - I get your drift. I too get calls at work and have set my phone up so it only rings once. As far as the AG is concerned, its been over a month since I faxed the info to the internet fraud dept in Nyc. Haven't heard a word. I also emailed the AG last week. Wonder how that other New Yorker was able to receive a response in such a short time. Must be the type of letter she wrote. Maybe we can get an example of his/her letter and try again. NY went after these guys big time a couple years ago,but we have a new AG, who may not be as aggressive as the last one, who is now our governor. When I complained, I basically wrote a summary paragraph and attached a list of all my pdls, including their addresses and email addresses. How about you? What approach did you take? If we put our heads together, maybe we can get the AG to move on our behalf!

I have found the NY Attorney General to be very good in terms of response time. The results have been good too. I am battling a payday loan collection right now. It is such a pain. I know ignorance of the law is no excuse, but I really did not know the lender was not licensed to lend in NY. Now I am almost positive the collection agency is not licensed to collect in NY.

I have had a few experiences with payday loans that have been ok. I took the loan and paid it back within a month or so. There were a few though that I had issues with. Whenever I received notice to pay, I contacted the AG and have always received the reply from the original creditor that it is considered paid in full.

I am hoping the same happens for this one. These people who are trying to collect are pains in the patoot. I am usually open-minded about debt collectors (there are a few good ones), but this company seems to have some very unarticulate and rude people working for them.

Oh well....good luck!

I filled out the complaint form but when it came to the details of the transaction I directed them to a separate page where I listed all the PDL's and any contact information I had (addresses and/or phone numbers)To the right of each PDL I listed the date of the loan deposit, the loan amount and then what I had paid to date. It was when I totaled those columns that I had to face the amount of money I would have had in my life if I had never gotten into this mess. I made sure to put those columns in bold and then faxed everything off to the AG. Between that, the online file and the online email, I hope to hear something soon.
