Use your common sense....question it. I have not heard of a company who is hiring you, who will be paying you, to require bank info, unless it is for direct deposit.....we really need more information......also what does ISD stand for?

Did you interview or ever send a resume to this company. It sounds sort of strange to me. I would never give out my info over the phone and definetely not if they called me. You have no idea who is actually calling you.

Teh depth of financial investigation of potential employees depends on the nature or the job. Jobs requiring feduciary responsiblities, particulary if management related, routinely pull your CR. But since CRs dont provide information on personal accounts, it can be appropriate to ask for that information.
Jobs requring a national security investigation almost always look that deep.
So I would ask, who is this company, and what will be the sensivitity level of my employment responsibilites?
