All PDLs are illegal in your state. So signmyloan is no exception. Since the original loan is an illegal one, it doesn't matter who the CA is. I would advise you to contact New Jersey Department of Banking and Insurance and tell them about this. They'll surely help you.

I must apologize sir/madam that you feel that way. Nor was I trying to harass you. My job simply is to collect. I did receive a BBB complaint of which was resolved immediately. I was only calling the numbers of which you provided w/in the guidelines of the FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.) Unfortunately, my job is to protect the interests of my client not the consumer. I do however appreciate the complaints you make against as they give me more opportunties to prove myself to my employer.

Ok...the plain fact is that they are collecting an illegal account. The poster didn't even have to pay back the principle, but they did. That is all the collector deserves. They should not have bought, or accepted an account from an illegal company. They should blame the company, not the consumer.

Oh..and Corey? If you called the persons friends and family when you already have good contact info, then that IS harassment because by law you can ONLY contact friends and family ONCE to find out where the person is, but if you are already talking to that person, then you are in violation of said laws, plain and simple. So maybe Corey, you should put the phones down and go reread the FDCPA.
