A default judgement was taken against me in 2004 via a credit card debt collector and is valid for 10 yrs. this debt is now well
exceeded the statute of limitations(in MI).

1) Can the judgement be renewed if the statue of limitations has expired? Neither the original debt or judgement appear on my credit report. The judgement has never appeared on my credit report.
2) if they do attempt to renew, will I be notified to appear in court?
3)This debt collection agency recently intercepted my joint state tax refund and is this is the only time it has collected any monies from me, which is the only reason I was made aware of this judgement.

I appreciate any advice you may be able to provide.

1. Once a judgment is taken out, it starts a new SOL cycle. That prior sol you are referring to no longer exists.
2. Nope
3. You had a debt...did you not receive a summons on it? Have you looked it up on your county online court dockets??
