I haven't gone to court yet, but want to prepare myself...I reached out for an attorney who stated she could represent me for $1500 or $500 a month, but I'm worried if I lose...I'll be paying $500 a month to her PLUS the amount I have to pay for my judgement.

I'm being sued for 9999.99, I make about 1800 a month...how much would a judge make me pay a month normally, what percentage of my paycheck?

The most they can do if you lose is garnish your paycheck. The normal amount is up to 25% of your disposable income, which the judge can reduce to 15%. They use a statutory formula to determine what the amount is. I would be very careful about the lawyer. They may be looking at a fee and not caring if they win or lose the case. I am very cynical of lawyers however. I have never had a real good experience with one.
