Hi everyone,
my last payment on a credit card account goes back to october 2001 and since that time I didn't pay the owed balance. in reviewing my credit report I noticed that a collection agency is taking car of this matter and that the reported date is in 2007. Does it mean that this date corresponds to the first delinquency date. Shouldn't it be like 6 months after October 2001?

They are just reporting the date they received account. If the date of first delinquency is from 2001,it should fall off your reports sometime in 2008.
