This people called me at work today stating that I have broken the law and that they are coming to arrest me. They told me that I took a payday loan and I haven't paid it yet. I told them that I already paid them once and I was a long time ago. They said this was another one that I need to pay. I asked them to send me a letter to validate this new debt so I can make sure its real and they just hanged up on me.

Next they called and my wife picked up the phone (She works with me) they asked for the address and told her that they are sending me a package and to wish me good luck.

Now she is scared. What can I do about this ?

WHOA--STOP RIGHT THERE....

This is BASS AND ASSOCIATES all over again, and I dont just mean that as a figure of speech. This is the SAME PEOPLE that are behind Bass and Associates.....read this article I found:

jacksonville.com/tu-online/stories/120107/met_221875639.shtml
"Among the most prominent complaints: Claiming or implying to be attorneys or government agents, threatening arrest or legal action, claiming or collecting exorbitant debt amounts and using harassing or intimidation techniques such as repeated phone calls or calls to a debtor's place of work. In July, Attorney General Bill McCollum's office filed a $1.3 million lawsuit against the firm - also known as Jackson Phillips & Associates - and earlier this week , state attorneys won the first round of the battle in a Jacksonville courtroom by defeating the agency's motion to dismiss the case. A motion to shut down the firm while the case proceeds will be heard in January. The state is also working with Georgia officials to determine whether Bass is trying to escape Florida prosecution by moving across the state line to Folkston, Ga. Records at Folkston City Hall show that a business license was issued in June to Bass officials Frank and Evelyn Jackson to establish a collection agency called States Predisposition Services Inc."
here is an address for this bunch of crooks:

STATES PRE-DISPOSITION SERVICES,INC.
1204 F SOUTH SECOND STREET
FOLKSTON, GA 31537
1-800-918-3849

I would VERY highly recommend that you give the attorney general's office in Georgia a call, here is that information:

Thurbert Baker, Georgia Attorney General
40 Capitol Square, SW
Atlanta, GA 30334-1300
(404) 656-3300

Call them and report exactly what took place, and they should handle it from there. Be sure to mention that the people who reportedly own the business license for this company are the same people who are in the middle of the huge court case in Florida--the ones that run Bass and Associates. Oh, and you may also consider contacting the FL AG as well, since they are currently prosecuting these criminals for these exact same business practices as we speak.

Florida AG's name is Bill McCollum:

Hope this helps--and above all, DONT WORRY. These people couldnt do anything to you, especially not the crap they claim when they call.
