its never too late. law firms dont want to waste their time and resources with trials and pre-trial preparations anymore than you do. call them, get on arrangements. heck, settle it out!

I contacted the lawyer and they wanted me to settle @ 85% I said that I couldn't afford that, starting to make payments I will save money on top of making the payments then make them a counter offer, my question is what would be a good counter off the debt is 5k

$1200 would be max if the debt is old

The debt was charged off by Cap. One. then it went to NCO and they had it a very short time before the it went to a lawyer and this whole time we were working with a DS and they didn't even contact any of the above people mentioned.

Need advice, as posted earlier I missed my pretrail conference, then contacted the laywer and thought I worked out a payment plan for at least until the end of the year. for $100.00 a month. but today I found a letter from the lawyer with an enclosed stipulated Judgement. that I have to sign and have notarized and returned within ten (10) days. I can afford the $100.00 dollars a month but the payment beginning in January of $355.65 I can't afford. My question is if I sign this document can I still try to negotiate either a lower payment or a settlement.

any help would be much appreciated.
