Hi Everyone, Does anyone know what pay day company Legal Mediation Practice collects for? They called me and told me I "would be arrested" blah blah, we all know the routine these guys pull. But for some reason they would not tell me what company they are collecting for? Anyone know from past experiences?

They are simply the scum of the earth. To quote Michael Douglas in War of the Roses they are "lower than the layer of prehistoric frog sh-t in the bottom of a New Jersey scum swamp." Go to the search box and put in legal mediation and you will find oodles of info about them. Then get yourself an agressive attorney and sue them for violations of the fdcpa. You will win more than they say you owe.

Yeah, I got a call from them on Monday. Said I needed to address the issue of they would send someone to pick me up for a Class A felony for Check Fraud. What idiots. They hung up on me after I said 1) Criminal action is prohibited in the State of Arizona and 2) a class A felony in AZ consists on murder, and homicide and 3) What they were doing was illegal.
I was expecting an argument, but they hung up quickly when I asked for the attorney.
Felt kinda good. :P

LOL!

That's really funny PaganAngel26! I would love to have listened in on that phone conversation. She probably got confused because (I'm willing to bet) they probably don't have an attorney on staff. I've read a post on this site where the debtor was threatened that a "paralegal" would be pushing their paperwork through. What the heck can a "paralegal" do and what did "pushing their paperwork through" actually mean?!?

Hilarious!

Heel2ther1, to this date I'm still not sure who LMP was collecting for; they never told me on the phone and they never sent the initial dunning letter to me. They are required by law (which LMP usually ignores) to send written notification of the debt withing the first 5 days of initial contact. My attorney I retained, when I sued them for fdcpa violations, told me the name he got from them but I honestly did not recognize the name.

With all I've been through the past 2 years though, the fact I didn't recognize the name really wouldn't be surprising though.

Just don't let these bozo's intimidate and harass you!
