I got a call from Hnbc bill collector and she said on the recorder that this recarded by property on my street (address) and the way she made it seem is that she could take my home. I called and it was a man and he said that this was for a client and it was 1000 bucka tec and they were offering a settlement and if I did not settle they would serve papers. NOW I know I owe this CREDIT CARD vut could they take my home for that??

The next time they call, tell them they have 5 days after their first initial contact with you to send a dunning letter (letter of collection) via the mail, that is a federal law (FDCPA), if they do not send you one and continue to call then file a complaint against them for not complying with the law, file with the FTC and BBB, the complaints might prove useful for you in the future if they should file suit against you.
