Lien on Vehicle

Does anyone know New York state law on putting liens on vehicles? Can a creditor take my car away? I'm still making payments on it.
If your vehicle is finaced, that creditor has the first position
If your vehicle is finaced, that creditor has the first position. No one else can touch it.
