unauthorized bank withdrawals

Hi,
I have Lighthouse Recovery taking money from my bank account each week without my permission.
I gave them the info once for a payment, and now they just keep taking money.
When I request a stop payment with my bank, they just change the name slightly, and it goes right through.
Is this legal, and do I have any recourse? I've had this account for years and hate to close it, but I'm in the middle of doing just that so I can stop this.

You should also make copies of the withdrawals and think about filing suit against this company. They stole money from you, they should pay it back, plus cost of court, plus whatever else you can get.
Think about it, they gave you no consideration whatsoever by suddenly helping themselves to your money. Even were they to prove you owed a valid debt, there are legal channels to go through and they did not.

You can also contact the fraud prevention department of your bank. You can ask them to freeze your funds whenever suspicious activities are taking place in your account.
