I recently spoke to a Lighthouse Recovery Associate about making payments on a credit card that i could not afford the monthly payments, the arrangements I made are for monthly payments. I got calls from them daily, and then called them yesterday. Should I call them back and have them fax me a debt validation request? My first bank draft doesn't go in till next month Aug...
Please advise me on this...

You should have done that before you gave them your account information. You've basically given your account information to some random stranger who called you and said you owe him money.

You need to send a letter requesting validation of the debt. It has to be in writing. I would call them and tell them that you're doing this and tell them you will cancel the payment arrangement if you don't receive validation prior to 5 business days before the first payment is scheduled.

Today I went to the bank and told them about my case. The officer at the bank told me the that I can stop payment too. I think I will tomorrow, I did call the Lighthouse and spoke to Mike Nelson which I did ask him to fax me a letter to my number. I don't have an address or email or address for them now.
