I just got served w/ small claims court!

Can anyone tell me what I should do in this case when I just received papers to go to small claims.
It was a credit card debt due to identity theft which was explained to the creditor but they still sold the account to collections. Now i am being sued by a local attorney.
What's the worse that can happen?
I don't own a property or get paid W2.
I usually get paid under the table?
Any help would be great!
