CA Called and this is what I told them...

I recently lost my job. I hvae no income i don't have any money in the bank and this is what she told me. We need you to pay this debt. I say to her I would be more then happy to but I don't have any money. She then gets lippy of course. Then I go on to tell her I lost my job. I don't have a home and you can check all assest if you would like. Then she was like we can offer a settlement for half. I was like Can I pay that overtime. She says no. One large lump sum of 9k. I was like can't do it. She goes on to say we will sue you. I go well you probably can go ahead and do that but I don't live anywhere so I don't know where you are going to send me anything. She asks me about my current mailing address. I told her that was my old address and I no longer live there. I currently live with a friend. I don't give that info out. I tell her I will settle for 2k and pay it over the next 6 months she laughs and says no way. I say to her that is what I can do. She goes onto say I will see you in court.

So I call the CA back and ask her when my court date is. She says they are in the process of getting one. I tell her I filed for bankruptcy. I would like to send her that info. She goes to tell me that won't count. Is that true?
