I posted this on another thread but it was pretty deep in the thread so I started a new one to see what someone might think. I am a memeber here, but I forgot my password and for some reason it is taking awhile to get here.

I sent a debt validation letter to LVNV and I heard back from Resurgent Capital on a credit card debt that was a Sears card. In my letter I stated that I am resolving all issues through Town & Country and that I needed the validation to send it on to them. I checked my credit alert today and I see LVNV has changed my account to "account information disputed by consumer". What does this mean and will it have a derogatory effect on my credit (worse than it is now)? Are they preparing to sue me? Will they accept T&C payments?

Try to PM Mike- he will help you with the password thing.

As far as LVNV- they usually don't validate- or validate fully. I think once you send them a DV letter, they put that on your report. I am not really up on the credit thing- so I don't know if they are supposed to do this or not.

Probably can't hurt your credit any more that a collection agency having it, to have it on your report. Well, on second thought, any deragatory remark hurts it. Haven't had enough coffee!!

I don't know if they work with consolidation companies or not. I snt them payments I could afford, and they haven't turned one down yet.Keep in mind, as long as you owe someone, they will continue to try to collect.

This company breaks alot of fdcpa reg., and plays dirty- keep notes and records of all correspondence with them

I deleted your duplicate post

Feel free to ask questions..KAren
