Question, i faxed over a dv letter to lvnv on 10/29 to validate a debt they have listed on my report. I received a return fax today stating my account is "closed" and they will notify the CB to remove it from my reports, and they "apologized" for any inconvenience they caused me (picture that)..... something just feels uneasy about this. is the process that simple for them to go away with their bogus claims? i don;t know if i should send a followup letter or what... i just dont want to pull my report in a month or two and find them there again under a didderent name....

any suggestions???

I wouldn't have rattled it more. Just preserve the letter you have received from them. In case you need to dispute the record if they don't remove it, you can put forward the letter as an evidence. Give them some time, may be a month or two and then check your report. Hopefully the LVNV would be gone from your report by then.
