Hospital Bill from 3 years ago...I had insurance

Hey,
I pulled up my credit report and saw an item from M & M Recovery...actually there were 4 marks totaling $384. I called up the company and asked them to send validation of the debt, and they did. The only thing is this from 3 years ago. I had full car insurance and health insurance. If I remember correctly, the car insurance was supposed to pay this! The only thing is I no longer have that insurance company, but how would I go about having them pay? Would they still be required to pay from 3 years ago? And advice is appreciated. Thanks!

If it was valid that it should be paid by them and it occurred when you were covered, yes they would have to pay it. You just need to prove that and have everything submitted to whoever should have paid it. If it was a left over deductible, co-payment, whatever - then no, you have to pay it.
