Wage Assignment is basically something you sign (usually with PDL) that if you default on your loan that they will take money out of your paycheck. They don't need a court order as they think that the Wage assignment form that you signed is enough and can take pretty much whatever amount they want (If I remember correctly).?? However the wage assignment is completely voluntary, and can be revoked at any time where as Wage Garnishments are needed by the court, and can only take so much of your disposiable income (Depending on which state, there are a few states that don't have wage garnishments)and?? continue until the debit is paid.
