"Charged off" is just an accounting term, but doesn't eliminate
"Charged off" is just an accounting term, but doesn't eliminate any obligations you have in regards to the debt. Yes, they can still try to collect it from you.

If they charged it off and sold the debt, then it would show 0 b
If they charged it off and sold the debt, then it would show 0 because you don't actually owe "them" anymore. In that case, you owe whoever bought your debt.
