Recently, a Georgia local news affiliate ran a story on Mann Bracken. Many people that have dealt with these people never believed these probes would occur!! From what has been said, once the operations in Georgia have been closed down, than all the other offices nationwide would have to stop, because not all of the bad debt collectors are in Georgia. They have satellite offices in other places that are following the same illegal tactics that come out of the Georgia office. I'd say that the officials in other states are probably standing by to watch what happens in Georgia before they follow any suits if they choose to do so. Possible criminal charges may also be possible and if this occurs, watch Mann Brackens big shots start abandoing ship really quick and fast. They should be made to pay back every single individual that they have terrorized. Don't know if they can do it or not though, due to 100 law suits being filed against them in one yr. and the numbers growing, they are becoming strapped for cash. Even while this probe is going on by Georgia state officials into the way they conduct their business, they continue to attempt to collect from debt weary consumers. They won't or at least do not want to learn their lesson. They believe they are invincible. "You can't touch us." seems to be their attitude. In all likelihood a yr. or two from now, Mann Bracken will be out of the debt collection business. "The bigger they are, the harder they fall."

Here is a link to a class action suit which outlines in GREAT DETAIL the allegations of multiple acts of fraud against Encore Midland et al. I'm going to hang onto this and consider doing my own suit against them. I am not qualified for the class action as it is residents of Washington state.

It is an eye-opening look at robo-signed affidavits fraudulently presented as evidence for starters. 8-)
