HI there, Soaplady!
My wife and I recently bought a house, but before we could do that, my wife removed from her credit report, a dispute with Midland Credit Management. This goes back to her ex husband, almost 10 years ago, who opened a joint account in her name, which she never signed for.
Anyway, now MCM is calling home and her cell phone. I put the dispute on her report, but did she open a can of worms by having this dispute removed from her credit report? Should I take the initiative in sending a valadition or verification request and MCM and asking them to cease and desist in calling? Or, what should be my plan of action?

Send them a validation letter and tell them that you dispute it
Send them a validation letter and tell them that you dispute it and it is also past the statute of limitations and to cease and desist contacting you.
