I think my collection calls might be starting from the PDL companies. Has anyone heard of MCO?

4 years from your last payment any debt is "Timed Barred"
This means if they sue you they cannot collect nor get a judgement against you. Google "Timed Barred Debt law:razz:"

Debts being time barred, depends on the state in which you live. 4 years is not the case in all states. Check statute of limitations (for debts) laws for your state.

You should seriously consider taking whatever College you attended to Court and suing. They failed horribly.
Bring a copy of your post to Court and show it to the Judge. This is what Lawyers call a "Hum-Dinger"

In some states, credit card debt cannot be collected after 6, 7 or 10 years. You can be asked to pay for the debt, but the collection company cannot sue in court, and cannot garnishee your wages. However, if you send any kind of payment you activate the debt, and the collection agency can take you to court. The best thing to do is check with your state and its laws concerning the collection of credit card account.
