The job is boiler room work, the pay is not what they tell you, though you can get 30% of the person pays you, they do not have benefits as stated and the people who work there are not drug or arrest record checked.
They will however hire anyone who can hold a telephone and repeat what they are told to.
Steer clear of them. Just trying to save hardworking people from some grief. This job is a farce.

Thanks for the fair warning. We are pretty much aware of some of the things that go on with the consumer side of the calls, if you wish you can find more in a recent thread that should still be on the first page of this forum.
Wow!
Okay, I saw this and was slightly amused.
I usually don't judge people by the way they look as I'm usually very wrong when I do; I'm just not good at that. However, I did drive by LMP's offices one day and saw a group of them standing outside smoking. My first thought was "Are they all required to take breaks at the same time? Who's making calls right now violating the fdcpa?" Then I got a little closer and thought to myself "Yikes! Hope they don't work at the daycare around the corner!"
What a scary looking group.
On the other side of the argument, though. I was hired by a major bank, with offices here in Jacksonville, back in 1998 right after college. Now they did do a background check as part of the hiring process; however, I was not given a drug test. At the time I thought that was strange. I have since encountered one other employer that did not drug test as part of the hiring process, so I don't know that it's not all that uncommon. I wonder what other's experiences might be concerning this?
Also, Past Employee, can you tell me where they run their help wanted ads? I've been very curious to see one myself. Since I've been job hunting myself for the past couple of months, I've kind of kept my eye out for any from LMP as I just wanted to see how one would read. I've looked on jacksonville.com; however, since they switched over to Monster.com to handle their help wanted ads, I don't go there. I don't think you can PM me as a guest, so if you do post a web address, just leave off the www at the beginning. I live in Jax myself, so I'm just curious what local advertising they use.

Legal Mediation Practice is a great place unless you are some pansy who can't cut it in the collections business. Maybe you should deliver pizza or flip burgers.
