I just received a call from Mr. Mike Wilson who claims to be a mediator between the courts and me. At least that was what he said the first time he tried to explain himself. He kept trying to get me to verify my address with him. I kept asking him what was the name of his company but all he would tell me is that he is a mediator. I then asked him on whose behalf is calling, what agency or company hired him to be a mediator regarding Providian. He said CRS sent me information regarding this debt but I refuse to pay and then he tried to verify my address again. When I stated I have never heard of this company and that I have not received any correspondence from them, he just kept trying to verify my address. He told me CRS meant Collection Recovery Systems, how can you mediate for a company and you don't know what their accronym means (LOL). Before, I could inform him that I would need a debt validation from this company before continuing any further contact with him or anyone within his organization, he told me it doesn't matter how our conversation ended they just serve me.

IDK how he got my home number, I have only had this number for a month before he started calling and it is unlisted. Go figure?

If this is a legitimate debt what should I do at this point, b/c I can't afford to pay it whether they sue me or serve me. You can't get blood from a turnip and you can't get money from a broke person. This debt doesn't show up on my credit report so, I'm curious where did it come from. I have dealt with Commercial Recovery Systems in the past and set up a payment plan for other creditors so, if CRS was really trying to get in touch with me regarding this Providian debt, they would know how.

Signed, Perplexed:confused:
