I have some unpaid medical bills that were sent to a collection agency.I requested validation o one for $110.00 and they sent me back a list of lab services performed but nothing with my signature on it or any original contract where I agreed to be responsible for these bills.I am sick and weak and it has been over 30 days since they sent me the valiadation and I am just now having the chance to read them and realized my signature is nowhere to be found. Is this proper validation? Im in TN.I also got sent a seperate letter for a different bill from the same ca for $657.00.I also requested valiadation on this bill as well because the amount is inflated.I remember signing an agreement to pay half the cost ($100) for the tests upfront and half in 90 days.I paid half upfront and then only paid less than half on the remaining balance. Now they are saying i owe hundreds of dollars more than i was orginally charged. Can i call up the orginal creditor and offer to pay them what i can or is it impossible to deal with them once it goes to collections?

You can still negotiate a settlement, but you should check to see who owns the debt. Sometimes accounts are sold to collection agencies, who become the new creditor. A creditor or collection agency has the right to charge penalties and interest on late amounts, but you can always dispute what they're charging and ask for a detailed accounting.
If you had the tests done then you agreed to pay for them. Lab services (the cost of analyzing test samples) is typically part of the cost of having the tests done and the patient agrees to pay the costs if the insurance company doesn't, when the release forms are signed.
