Anyway, here I come yet again with another question..I have an old judgement against me for a medical debt. Which was paid when occurred..However, it still shows amount of $XXX.XX. THis was paid, what should it say on cr? How does it notate it was paid? Does it make a different on score if it was paid vs not paid? Also, is medical stuff alowed to be on cr? How should it be privately notated? I did dispute account, and it came off my tu file, however other 2 haven't been so lucky. Any thoughts would be greatly apprecieated..

Should say "paid" or something like that under the amount or wherever it is listed. and yes, medical bills can be on credit reports just like other bills. I have several still on my report that i'm working on.
I would dispute it again, with the other two (in writing explaining that you paid this) if they still come back as verified, request what verification they used (you have a right to that)

So should it list a dollar amount? or should it say paid? By the way it looks on tu file I can't tell it was even paid..

The tradeline should read the collection amount and status. If it is paid an is not properly reflected as "PAID" on your credit report dispute it ASAP!

Did you dispute it with the CA or the CRAs? You should dispute it with the CRA. Make copies of your proof of payment and the satisfaction of judgment as your defense and request that it be marked as paid immediately. They would also have to send you a copy of your corrected credit report.

i disputed online with cra(i now know that wasn't possibly the best route for dispute) but tu verified the account on 03/09. The judgement was paid within a month of the court date because i paid half of it before the court date and the second half came outta of wage garnishment..then the collector continued to take payment via wage garnishment until i started to complain about overpayment..it took months to get a refund of overpayment..i know it was for sure paid..but not reported that way..

Do you know if the CA is with ACA International creditors Association? Click here [url=http://www.acainternational.org/]click here[/url} and go to find a member then search for the collection agency's name. If they are file a dispute with them. They will contact the CA and make them update your Credit report. I had to do that with one of mine when Equifax came back as verified but didn't update it to paid.

Do that dispute in writing (with the CRA) because you need to send them proof of satisfaction of judgment. Online is going to be perfunctory because of the lack of evidence in your favor. The documentation is very important.
See my blog post Creditors Gone Wild. The relevant statutes of the Fair Credit Reporting Act are there - and you may wish to add them to your letter. Be firm but businesslike.
I'm sure you are anxious to get this behind you so that is the quickest route. You could probably drag this out another 6 months and sue the CA for FDCPA violations if that's the way you want to go.
