I had a message from Monco Services in Brookfield, WI stating that I need to return the call as it was an important business matter. It made me nervous, so I am researching them. What should my next step be? I should not have any accounts requiring "collection".

Return the call or answer the next time they call. Verify you are the consumer they are seeking. If so, verify your mailing address and inform them they now have 5 days to mail you details of the alleged debt. End the call. When they send you their dunning letter respond with a DV.

I'm just letting you know that I'm trying my very best to get the debt paid off, as soon I can, but I'm terribly sorry that I have not been able to just yet. But as soon as I have plenty of extra money to deal with, then I will pay off the debt, until I can you will just have to wait. I would very much like to have you not call me anymore, because it's such a waste of time. I think you misunderstood....
This is not Monco Law. This is a debt forum where people can come to discuss their issues and get answers to questions. We are not in any way associated with these debt collectors, so telling us to stop the calls wont get you anywhere. You need to send Monco Law a cease and desist letter via certified mail.
