I received a summons to appear in court regarding a credit card they said i opened in 2000.Citicard of South Dakota. I quickly ran my credit report. and they or they number is no where to be found on my report or this company in anyway. I sent a letter to validate the loan certified and a follow-up letter because I never receid a response. I been in court 2 times already and these attorneys can not validate this debt, there are no records of statements, applications,or anything with my signature. When I was in court the last time the judge told me that I should get an attorney this judgement is for over 12,000, and it is no longer considered small claims. I need to appear in court again on June 23, 2008. My question is if no one could provide documents on this so called debt why is it still in court. If the attorney can not validate this and told me they don't have to whyam I still going through this nightmare. By the way I do not have any money for an attorney nor do I qualify for legal aid. What to DO? If this goes through I will have to fill bankruptcy..Please help!
