My wife just had a small claims court judgment served on her without ever having been served any notice or anything prior to go to court in her defense. To top it off, the atty firm not only sent her the papers for her case, but the papers for 3 other persons as well...a clear violation of the privacy act.

These guys are crude and rude.

contact the court and get all of the court records for the case, it will tell how service was made. Unless they served via legal notice (publishing an announcement in a paper of record, generally the local paper) then you request the court to vacate the judgement due to improper service.
