I took out a loan with Nationwide of $500.00 and payed it back with interest in two weeks. I later took out a loan with them for $400.00 not knowing my job would collaspe a week later. I have struggled and struggled just to make four interest payments of $100.00 and now the fifth one was $150.00. With only $73.00 has went toward the principal. I have no way to pay this when it's due again next Friday. I called and talked with them today and they refused to work out a payment arrangement. I'm scared.
Does anyone have any advice... I had no idea what I was getting into to.

Hi there and welcome, Nationwide is an Internet lender. First of all, please list the following information so we can help you.
-Names of each pdl company.
-Whether they are store front or Internet.
-How much you borrowed.
-How much you paid so far.
-The state in which you reside.
I'm sorry to tell you this, but there is only one sure way to stop the withdrawals, and that is to close your account. If that isn't an option, then tell the bank to put a hard debit block on your account. Before you close your account, read this information at the link below. http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/close-account.html

Please do not let any of these pdl's know you are going to close your account, until AFTER you have done it!

Meanwhile, I am moving this to the payday help forum so more people will see it.

Most of the time you have to be in default with a PDL before they will be willing to work with you.

Shazzer is correct, closing your checking account is your best course of action. However if this is not an option due to your states PDL laws, putting a hard debit block on your account will prevent the pdl company from overdrafting your account. Give your bank manager a letter revoking ach transaction agreements.

We make it so easy for the PDL companies to control us and take away our options. We just give them our account information, and sign the ach transaction agreements allowing them to pretty much do what they want. It sure is different when you take the control back and limit their options on how they are going to receive payment. Most of them suddenly become very willing to try and work with you.

Thank you for your response. My only PDL is
Nationwide
Internet loan
I live in Florida
My loan amount was $400.00
I've paid back $550.00
Can I just stop payment on these people?
Can these people file criminal charges against me? I'm scared
I won"t to pay them what they say I owe, but I can't do it the way they want,

No, you can't stop payment on them because they will change their name and debit your account anyway. As long as they have your account information you will never be safe from them. They are an unlicensed lender and had no business loaning to you in the first place. CLICK HERE to find out how to deal with illegal lenders.

Thanks for the information...I'll let you guys know how it goes. I can't help but wonder why these people are able to continue doing this. It seems like their the criminals, but they treat us like we are.
It's so comforting knowing you guys are out there.
Thanks so much.
