Ok, so I did my homework on the site and see all the bad things about NCA. I receved letters stating that they "purchased" my accounts and have an investment in them. They are not collecting for the people they bought them from.

Is this valid or a play on words. They are from illegal internet payday loans out of county. I sent them the DV letter and they sent a copy of the internet app of course no signature. I advised them in the DV letter the loans were illegal and the companies not lisenced in CA. They state in response CA law does not govern the loan as it was entered into over the internet and is subject by agreement of the parties to te jurisdiction in which the company is located.

Suggestions???????

Hi Melmel
What I think is that, even if they have bought the debt from an illegal payday loan company, you are liable to them for the principle amount of the debt and so you need to pay them off. However, before you pay them off, you need to the collection agency, you should get the debt validated.
