I brought this thread over from the other forum, this is my topic that requested. Shazzers was kind enough to give me advice. Now I'm scared out of my mind.

I've defaulted on some of my online payday loans and now my accounts have been taken to I-Collect and to National Credit Adjustors. I called the online payday loan companies if they had any information in regards to this matter, they told me it's out of their hands and now I have to notify them. I've notified NCA and they told me that my account is now taken over by Lombardo, Davis, and Goldman. This company contacted me and they told me everything underneath the sun and now I'm running scared on how to proceed with them. Please advise on what to do? Thanks.

well then stop that payment.if it was via cc cancel that card.if it was via debit report it lost, and get a new one.either way you have time to stop this.btw DV=debt validation.make these creeps prove you owe this debt.there are templates i the DYI section.just do not pay them as they broke the law hand over fist.don't reward their illegal behavior.

I was in the same boat. They sent my loan to NCA and then on to William Sokol, an attorney in NJ. I sent DV letter, return receipt requested, and heard nothing. Now it's with another attorney in TX and I've been receiving calls telling me that papers are being served. They even contacted prior employers in trying to find me. I've sent this firm a fax and e-mail, requesting validation, telling them to cease and desist with the phone calls. They will threaten anything to collect, and as it's the end of the year, they are desperate.

If you have a checking account, I would close it so they don't take the funds out. Have any direct deposits directed to a new account. You would have to speak to the branch manager, not bank associates, to make sure it's done correctly. If you can't, then put a stop payment on it. You should also send them via fax, e-mail and U.S. mail (RRR) a revocation of authorization to debit your account if that's what you had set up.

Good luck, and stop worrying. Once you stop the payment you can make arrangements to pay back the amount you borrowed.
