I contacted nco today. I have been making bi-weekly payments on a very small account. i spoke to someone in the "credit" dept who was flat out rude. she told me no such action would be taken until the account is paid in full. lol I called them to make arrangements, they were sued by FTC in 2004 in the state i lived in Pa. I told her my other collection agents had reported accurate info by updating my payments to my reports. she then said a flat no. i said well okay I thought you'd might work with me like the other collectors because I initiated the payments and this account files into the time frame of the 1.5 mil lawsuit against you.

I am posting a reply to this myself. I just spoke to the original creditor. He told me since it has been so long 2005 since I made an attempt to pay on this debt his company cannot do anything to report the payments to the Credit Reporting agencies. he told me to send a written return receipt request to NCO asking them to update payments and if they reply that they will not do it, he said i can then report it to FTc etc... He also told me to dispute it with 3 credit reporting agencies with the same above letter and receipts showing the payments received to date. im going to do it. He was so nice...

Isnt this interesting. I spoke to NCO twice yesterday. Both people in their "credit" dept told me they would not update anything until it was paid in full. I called today and read the fcra law regarding their responsibility to update my info and keep it accurate and the lady told me to hang on ..waited for a second or two then she told me we will just wipe it off your report just continue to pay. I guess calling them 11 times in 2 days has got annoying :(
