Sol question
Date: Wed, 04/06/2011 - 02:35
Myquestion is (michigan) is 6 years. My credit reports do not give me a last payment, activity and such. It gives me the date they closed it, and the estimated removal date. The date is set at 6/2012. Now since it's 7 years or 7.5 wouldn't this constitude beyong sol now or very soon? By using that date ( I havent paid, I think I did make like a 20 doller deress payment possible online, back in early 06, but from what i read it woulnd't restart it here in MI) anyway by that date it would be 6 years per 6/2011.I am unsure what the.5 is about, I just read that somewhere.
This is a cap1 account and they are prone to sue. I been trying to look at max judgement rates and such, but it gets confusing. This was a $300 card now at $1504, their settlement was around 750-800 I think.Opinions? I heard northland works with people, but I am afraid to call and talk infear of resetting sol if they give me a offer I can afford.what to do?

also My roomy got a call the other day for me on his cell from a lady that said is there going to be someone home to sign for sealed court docs tomorrow. She left a claim number and said call it asap to find out what I owe. Told my roomy all of that. Since she didn't give the compant only got a number 888 490-1504 revearse lookup showed bloom finacial from comments, but no company details its toll free. Sounded phishy, noone ever showed up either, I was home all day. Sounds like a scare tactics. I am not feaking out or anything, if they want to sue me then sue me, but I will try and resolve issues per my best interest prior to a court date if i can. I am sure she violated something in the Fair credit act or whatever it's called.

The SOL on your debt actually starts from the first date of your default. So are you sure that 6 years have passed from the date of your first default? If not, then you can still be sued. If the Sol period is over, then they can't sue you. Yes, if you enter into a settlement agreement with them, then the SOL period will restart again.
You have received a good settlement offer. You can accept the offer and settle the debt. The reason is, even if the SOL period is over, the collection agencies can call you regarding the payment of the debts. However, the negative item will drop from your credit report after 7 years.

the removal date off my credit is can be relfected by first date of default right?Ibelieve I read the 7 years starts the first late payment, and is never brought up to current, regarless of partial payment right? I don't care about the calls after sol, all new phones have a block app, very easy to do.

ok so that will make ti 6 years june 2011, I am still wondering if I should just settle since they offered around 50%. Though again, the date was for march 31st, i don't want to call and put myself out there for re-up sol. I don't know what it could benefit if i settled either. Don't get me wrong, I am not a deadbeat, and I would gladly pay what I charged, had they not slapped bogus looking fees from scumbag to scumbag on there.
I wish the credits reports i had stated my last payment or actual activity. I guess I can go on the date of removal for a time frame though, If I am correct. Maybe one of these xperts can asser as well. :) Thanks for you help so far!

I got a call regarding legal papers and called the 888 490-1504. I was told that I was sued for an old Wells Fargo Visa. Got a copy of my credit report and saw that it had been sold. So I got a settlement but because my card declined they won't reapprove my settlement and now they've left legal paper with my wife. Is there anything I can do to make them take the settlement?

Probably not. By not making the payment as agreed (your card declined), you didn't abide by the terms of your settlement. They aren't obligated to renew the offer.
