i had a small paid collections account 50.00 medical, i would like to know is there any way to remove off credit report?
also, how do you get rid of hard inquiries on credit reports, hurts my credit score. especially when it is NCO company? they have no legitimate reason to be looking and without my permissin. thanks

Ok what you need to do is scrutinize the paid collection very closely on all 3 credit reports. Look for anything that is reporting incorrectly. With FACTA and FCRA they have a duty to furnish correct information to the CRA's. For example many collections list past due, terms and various incorrect account type such as factoring company account. If you want, you can post how the account shows up on your credit reports and we can go over it with you and point out any errors.

Hard inquiries are harder to remove. If they had permissible purpose, then they will remain on the report for 2 years. You mention NCO. Is there an account listed on your credit report from NCO? If not, then send a permissible purpose letter to the CRAs, in this letter you dispute the inq as having no PP. They will either remove it or verify it. If they verify it then you ask for method of verification. Who did they talk to to verify it. By law if you ask, they have to provide this info. THEN you send NCO a non PP letter, addressed to whoever provided the verification info. If they do not comply, you sue them.

There is one other possibility for the removal of valid inquiries. There are some services, credit monitoring services that provide you with a snap shot of your credit reports, credit scores and alert you to any changes. The services that allow a daily pull of your credit report will eventually bump off older inquiries.

I personally use a service like this but it does take time for it to work. I use it now for that reason and to keep daily tabs on my credit reports so I can see the second something is verified, or if something comes on or goes off. I haven't had the service long enough to get the INQ bumped off yet, but it did work when I had the service last year or so after a few months of getting daily credit reports.

This is known as BUMPING or BUMP you can search for this term and research it, it is all over the internet. You may want to investigate this method if you really want to get your INQ's off, besides, it is an invaluable tool when you are actively fixing your credit.
